43150 passes the site of Uffington station with the 1L54 11:55 Cardiff Central to Paddington First Great Western service on 7 December 2010. Freezing fog during the previous night had given trees and bushes in most areas a thick rime coating. Uffington was therefore the obvious place to go, as the Great Western Railway's love of Scots Pine trees around its stations has insured that there are still some trackside trees. The frost covered trees look superb as 43150 speeds eastwards underneath the signal gantry that once spanned the former freight loops. |
