A stranger in Birmingham! 43151 leads the Cotswold Line Promotion Group's Oxford to Scarborough 'Cotswold-Ouse Express' railtour past Washwood Heath on 15 September 2012, here running as the 1Z43 07:42 Oxford to York. 43139 is bringing up the rear. Although I shouldn't really have been surprised, I did find it a little odd that I was the only photographer at this location. First Great Western HSTs do not normally traverse this line, and the ideal combination of the perfect lighting angle and an instantly recognisable location, made this an ideal spot to picture this unusual working. No doubt if it had been Class 66 hauled there would have been plenty of photographers present, but probably not me!
