In faded and debranded Virgin Cross Country livery, 43158 brings up the rear of the 5Z22 08:52 Gloucester to Long Marston stock move on 17 December 2005, as it enters Long Marston depot hauled by 20905 & 20096. The location of the former Dartmoor The Pony Express nameplate can just be seen near the radiator grille. Along with 43121, which can be seen at the head of the train, it was being shuttled between secure storage sites, having previously been resident at MoD Bicester. Subsequently 43158 was re-engined with a MTU power unit and has since joined First Great Western's fleet.
