43159 accelerates away from Neath with the 15:00 Paddington to Swansea InterCity service on 28 July 1991. It is crossing the River Neath (Afon Nedd) and will shortly cross both the A465 road seen in the foreground and the freight line to Onllwyn. All this on a sharp curve that takes the line though almost 180 degrees to get from one side of the valley to the other. Either traffic was lighter on the A465 in 1991 or I was lucky, as not a single vehicle has been Photoshoped out of this picture!
