Only a few of the rooks in the trees have taken flight, as 43161 leads the 1L36 08:31 Cheltenham to Paddington First Great Western service past Denchworth on 22 November 2013. This picture is taken from the bridge on the Denchworth to Grove road, which requires the use of a long lens to carefully shoot through a large signal gantry, and in the case of autumnal and winter shots like this one, a very long lens to clear the foreground shadows! The much more well known photographic location of Circourt Bridge can be seen in the background. Presumably this viewpoint will soon be totally ruined by the forthcoming electrification.
