The very last rays of the setting sun glint off the side of the late running 1L92 18:29 Swansea to Paddington First Great Western service led by 43161 at Uffington on 1 June 2009, while the low angle of the sun gives a pink tinge to the sky. The train is passing the site of a small quarry at Alfred's Hill, on the long curving section of embankment between the sites of Knighton Crossing and Uffington station. A remote location now seemingly only visited by rabbits! |
