43164 gleams in the low winter sun as it approaches the site of Ashbury Crossing, near Shrivenham on 16 December 2006 with the 1C14 12:30 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads First Great Western service. It is hardly surprising that it looks clean, as it had only arrived back from refurbishment and re-engining at Brush a few weeks previously. It would however soon have to go back for rectification work.
