43169 The National Trust passes Uffington under a very milky sky on 30 July 2011 with the 1A13 10:30 Bristol Temple Meads to Paddington First Great Western service. Network Rail have just finished strengthening the embankment here, which has included a long section reinforced with steel piling. The once numerous rabbit population in the foreground field have also recently been evicted by the farmer. However, unless there is a race of super rabbits at Uffington, I don't think they had anything to do with the embankment collapse! |
