Princess Royal Class 4-6-2 46203 Princess Margaret Rose passes a cloudy Shrivenham on 27 March 1994 with the Flying Scotsman Services 1Z17 08:40 Paddington to Crewe 'Cheshireman' railtour. This was really a positioning move to get the locomotive to Crewe for future commitments. The train was diesel hauled to Didcot, from where Princess Margaret Rose allegedly became the last steam locomotive to work on BR - as the network was privatised on 1 April.
