Track relaying on the Cotswold Line on Sunday 31 March 1985. After having brought the relaying train from Oxford to the worksite near Finstock, 47148 detaches from the train and heads off to Moreton-in-Marsh to collect a ballast train. With no advanced gen as to where the work was going to be, it was lucky that when I arrived at Finstock the train was stopped in a convenient (although severely backlit) position.
