The golden evening light accentuates the ripening wheat at Finstock on 25 August 1987, as 47500 Great Western speeds past with the 1B46 17:02 Paddington to Hereford service. In the 1980s there were numerous photographic locations on the southern end of the Cotswold Line, even if only small gaps in the bushes, as here. Normally a view such as this would be a little nondescript, but in this case the foreground colour nicely compliments the green of the loco and background bushes.
