47501 accelerates away from Kingham station, and approaches Churchill Heath on 9 July 1987 with the 1A10 06:00 Hereford to Paddington service. I don't often take this kind of low level frame filling picture, although ironically I took several similar pictures of this particular locomotive around this time. The lack of time in finding anywhere else, after discovering shadows across the line from my intended viewpoint, left me no choice, as it was a long walk back to the car from this remote location, and there certainly wasn't time to go anywhere else.
