Running 15 minutes late, 47508 S.S. Great Britain passes Didcot North Junction on 22 June 1989 with the 1M31 17:16 Folkestone Central to Manchester Piccadilly service. This used to be a good location to photograph northbound trains on a summer evening, but lineside vegetation, and development of the field on the right mean this view is no longer possible.
