Another Cotswold Line view that is now no longer possible due to the uncontrolled growth of lineside vegetation. 47513 Severn passes Lyneham with the 1B46 17:05 Paddington to Hereford service on 30 May 1985. I would not normally include quite so much sky in the picture and the composition is getting a little close to the photographic faux pas of the subject dividing the picture in two. However, in the absence of any foreground interest I was anxious to include the moon in the picture, which can be seen near the top of the picture. 47513 acquired the name Severn at Old Oak Common in March 1979 and until being transferred to Tinsley in 1989 was a regular on the Cotswold Line. |
