The Cotswold Line Promotion Group has been running special trains to various locations since the early 1980s. The 'Cotswold-Ouse Special' on 14 April 1984 was so popular that a relief had to be run a few weeks later. 47513 Severn stands in the gloom at Shipton station on 5 May 1984 with the Oxford to York 'Cotswold-Ouse Special 2'. Note that only a small part of the train is actually able to access the extremely short platform. Some idea of how dull it is can be gauged from the fact that the station lights are still on. |
