47536 crosses over the trackbed of the former Cheltenham to Stratford-upon-Avon line as it heads up the Cotswold Line with the 16:15 Hereford to Paddington service on 12 August 1984. As can be seen by the fresh ballast, the track had only been removed a few years previously and indeed various bits of railway equipment were still scattered about. Just under the bridge was the site of a junction giving access to the Cotswold Line via a sharply curved chord diverging to the left. |
