Summer Solstice at Chilson. 47539 Rochdale Pioneers runs along the Cotswold Line on 21 June 1987 with the 1B16 09:55 Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill service. Midday on the longest day is not the ideal time for photography, but a Class 47s on Mk1s on my local line was always worth recording, even if at the time I was probably hoping for a Class 50!
