A strange place to leave a Class 47! 47545 is pictured dumped at the far end of Oxford South Yard, adjacent to Osney Lane, on 6 October 1979. Hemmed in by a rake of MDO wagons, which presumably were there in connection with the adjacent scrapyard, it clearly hasn't moved for a while, but quite why it was there is unclear. I never saw any other locos in this particular position.
