After having arrived at Oxford station with its new nameplates covered on 3 October 1990, 47547 has its University of Oxford plates uncovered, prior to them being covered up again in preparation for the official unveiling a little later by the Right Honourable Lord Jenkins of Hillhead (Oxford University Chancellor). The loco receives some last minute cleaning before the dignitaries arrive. Behind it is 47587, which received the name Ruskin College Oxford at the same ceremony.
