Having just come off the line from Church Fenton, 47558 Mayflower passes through Micklefield station on 12 May 1990 with the 1M15 08:25 Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service. Unfortunately I have got very few pictures of these Trans-Pennine workings, and none at all from the Class 45 days. Since this picture was taken, the A1(M) road bridge in the background has been repositioned slightly further back, when the road was realigned.
