With a little snow still lying by the side of the track, 47560 Tamar passes Cholsey on 31 January 1987 with the 3A21 11:40 Malago Vale to Old Oak Common empty newspaper vans. In the 1980s, with the general stagnation of the railways, nobody would have predicted that this line would finally get electrified!
