With just a few weeks to go before the Class 47s would be removed from the route, 47581 passes South Moreton on 6 May 1992 with the 1F87 18:39 Banbury to Paddington Network SouthEast service. Not only have loco-hauled trains disappeared from this location, but so has Didcot Power Station in the background, and unless you want a picture taken through a forest of poles and wires, this photographic location no longer exists either.
