47581 Great Eastern passes South Stoke under a dramatic sky on 10 July 1990 with the 5F50 18:43 Twyford to Oxford ECS. I always thought that this was a bit of a strange working, as instead of following the example of the other peak hour Network SouthEast services from London to Oxford, it started out from Paddington as the 1F50 17:53 passenger train to Twyford, from where it became an empty stock working, and then just carried on to Oxford anyway! |
