47583 County of Hertfordshire gets under way again after a brief signal check at South Moreton (Didcot East) on 29 January 1992. It will shortly be crossing over onto the relief line, to access the Oxford line, as it works the 1F18 12:20 Paddington to Oxford Network SouthEast service. Note the rail worker's cars parked on the site of the wartime marshalling yard. Even though they are nowhere near the track, I don't think modern health & safety officials would like the idea of there being no kind of barrier between them and the running line!
