47598 passes Horley on 21 September 1991 with the 1M93 14:10 Eastbourne to Manchester Piccadilly service, which it would work as far as Willesden West London Junction. Gatwick Airport station can be seen in the background, just beyond the A23 road bridge. This is my only picture of this train, and although it's extremely backlit, I'm quite pleased to have captured this Network SouthEast and InterCity combination.
