47610 passes Thrupp on 25 April 1986 with the 1O27 06:45 York to Portsmouth Harbour service. Shipton-on-Cherwell cement works, then its final days of operation, can be seen in the background. I've no idea why I didn't visit this location more often at the time, as it was an ideal location to photograph southbound trains in the morning. The bushes on the right are now mature trees, and there is no chance of replicating this picture!
