47611 Thames rounds the curve on the approach to Ascott-under-Wychwood on 3 January 1987 with the 1A25 08:00 Hereford to Paddington service. A crisp winter morning and Kodachrome 64 have resulted in an excellent picture. Unfortunately a wood has been planted on the south side of the line since this picture was taken, so it would certainly not be a shadow free location in the winter now! The location is a public footpath crossing between Shipton-under-Wychwood and Ascott-under Wychwood.
