A frosty morning at Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 5 January 1985. 47612 Titan heads towards the capital with the 1A26 08:57 Cardiff Central to Paddington service. 47612 was one of the patch of Western Region 47s that received names in the mid 1960s. Although one or other of the plates was missing for short periods at various times, it managed to retain the Titan name for over two decades, from March 1966 to October 1989. During this time its number changed from D1665, to 47080, and then 47612.
