As the sun fades away into high cloud on the humid evening of 15 July 1986, 47618 Fair Rosamund passes Evenlode with the 1B56 18:07 Paddington to Hereford 'Cathedrals Express'. This view has long since disappeared, not only because of the usual lineside tree growth, but also because of the exceedingly high roadside hedge which, without the use of a pole, slightly gets in the way!
