47623 Vulcan & 50026 Indomitable approach Appleford on 12 September 1985 with the 1F14 08:50 Paddington to Oxford service. Presumably Indomitable was only hitching a ride to Oxford in order to bring a train including the high speed track recording coach DB999550 back to Old Oak Common later in the day. This is just as an assumption, as I photographed it later in the day at South Moreton.
