47624 Cyclops passes Croome on 24 October 1985 with the 1V85 09:23 Newcastle to Penzance InterCity service. This was one of the original Western Region named 47s, being named at Bristol Bath Road in June 1966, when the loco was just over a year old. It retained the name after being renumbered from D1673 to 47087 in 1974, and again when it was renumbered 47624 in 1984.
