47658 passes Aller on 7 December 1988 with the 1V45 09:18 Manchester Piccadilly to Plymouth service. This loco spent just three years numbered as 47658. Prior to conversion into a 47/4 in August 1986 it was numbered 47129. It was one of the last 16 47/4 conversions that were fritted with long range fuel tanks, and in August 1989 it was renumbered into the 478xx series to reflect this difference, becoming 47813. Later, other conversions were added to the 47/8 fleet.
