47664 approaches Water Orton on 17 March 1989 with the 1E30 09:24 Bristol Temple Meads to Darlington service. Long distance six coach inter regional trains (with full catering facilities) were quite common at the time. A few months later the loco was renumbered into the 47/8 long range fuel tank series.
