47707 Holyrood passes Didcot North Junction in the very last of the late evening light on 1 July 1991 with the 1F66 19:20 Paddington to Oxford Network SouthEast service. As my standard film in those days was Fujichrome 50, this required the lens to be wide open at f1.4. Not perfect, but the quality of the old Canon FD 50mm f1.4 was a hell of a lot better wide open than the later EF version, which I unfortunately purchased when I went digital.
