After running round its train in the station, 47711 County of Hertfordshire waits underneath the station footbridge at Bridgwater on 11 September 1997 with the 7M53 14:23 Bridgwater to Sellafield nuclear flasks. A little earlier I had photographed one of the flasks being loaded, just around the corner, on the stub of the Bridgewater Docks branch. A single 30 year old locomotive could be trusted with this hazardous load in 1997, something that would new require a pair of almost new locos!
