47749 City of Truro passes Stroud on 24 March 2023 with the 5Q70 06:50 Eastleigh to Long Marston ECS, conveying brand new South Western Railway EMU 701004 for storage. As with a lot of new trains, these units are overly complicated, and beset with software issues, preventing their introduction into service. They are already over three years late! This was running 10 minutes late, which was fortunate, as at the booked time the sun was still hiding behind a large cloud!
