47749 City of Truro races through Kemble station at high speed on 4 January 2024 with the 5Q86 08:51 Eastleigh to Long Marston, conveying brand new South Western Railway EMUs 701524 & 701518 for storage. This was running 15 minutes early. By missing out further stops it would become even earlier, until it came to a stand in Eckington Loop, where it stayed for over three hours due to a problem with the train's documentation. It makes you wonder why this wasn't sorted out before it left Eastleigh! The late running caused it to be terminated at Worcester, from where it carried on to Long Marston the following day.
