With the now demolished Didcot Power Station dominating the background, 47805 passes Culham on 16 August 1997 with the late running 1S54 07:38 Reading to Edinburgh service. What makes this picture particularly noteworthy are the two freshly painted Virgin Mk3 coaches on the rear of the train. These are presumably hitching a ride north after being repainted, as Mk2s were the normal vehicles on this train, and the Mk3s have clearly been added to the normal seven coach rake.
