Deputising for the booked HST, 47810 Porterbrook passes Waverton on 16 August 2003 with the 1A62 13:35 Holyhead to Euston Virgin Trains service. This is the site of the first Waverton station, which was originally called Black Dog station, after a local pub. It closed as early as 1898, to be replaced by a new station half a mile to the west.
