A slight InterCity / Network SouthEast identity crisis at Didcot North Junction on 6 May 1990. 47820 heads north with the 1M48 09:10 Paddington to Manchester Piccadilly service, through what was then largely open fields. An industrial estate now occupies the field behind the train.
