The token steam presence during the Great Central Railway's 1995 spring Diesel Gala was 8F 2-8-0 48305, although even then it doubled headed with Class 20 D8098. The odd combination is pictured passing Woodthorpe on 2 April 1995 with the 15:00 Loughborough to Leicester service.
