50002 Superb approaches Grateley on 19 April 1986 with the 1O10 09:38 Exeter St Davids to Waterloo service. In my opinion this is probably just about the best livery to be applied to a Class 50. The 'Large Logo' colour scheme, but with the replacement of the light grey roof with a much more practical black, and the addition of red buffer beams. Surprisingly this is still an excellent photographic location, perhaps even better now as the background trees have grown, but the present use of Class 159s on the route is hardly an improvement!
