50002 Superb passes FWP Matthews flour mill at Shipton with the 1A18 07:00 Hereford to Paddington 'Cathedrals Express' on 19 July 1986. The lamp posts on the right indicate the presence of Shipton station, but neither this nor most of the other services on the line stop at this diminutive halt. Apart from the vehicles (both road and rail!) this view is pretty much the same nowadays, if only one could see it, as uncontrolled tree growth has now obstructed this viewpoint. However, FWP Matthews is still a thriving family owned business producing high quality organic flour.
