The last of the evening sunshine illuminates 50004 St Vincent as it passes through Radley station with the 1M42 17:52 Paddington to Wolverhampton InterCity service on 27 August 1987. A rare escape into the Midland Region for a Class 50 at the time. 50004 would have spent most of the day shuttling between Oxford and London, and after reaching the Midlands, would promptly return with the 1V20 20:00 Wolverhampton to Oxford, in readiness for the mornings Thames Valley duties.
