On a very gloomy 7 November 1992, 50007 Sir Edward Elgar & 50033 Glorious pass the disused (and since demolished) signal box at Water Orton with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z42 05:17 Eastleigh to York 'Minster Marauder' railtour. By this date all the Class 50s with the exception of the two machines pictured here and pioneer locomotive D400 had been withdrawn from service. These three locos were then used for railtours until final withdrawal in March 1994.
