50008 Thunderer & 50015 Valiant pass Wrenbury with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z16 07:00 Hereford to Carlisle 'Wye Knot' railtour on 12 October 1991. Apologies for the poor technical quality of this picture, caused by the atrocious lighting conditions, which was really stretching the capabilities of the colour films of the time. However, every working of Thunderer whilst it was in 'Laira blue' livery is worth recording. For those interested this picture was taken with a Canon A1 on Kodachrome 200 at 1/1000sec f1.4, so obviously nothing at all in reserve if it got even slightly darker!
