Looking immaculate in its freshly applied Hanson & Hall grey livery, 50008 Thunderer passes Oakley on 9 June 2021 with the 5Z50 09:17 Eastleigh Arlington to Westbury test run. 67028 was added to the train for insurance, and at one point it seemed like it would work the train single-handed, as there was a brake problem on Thunderer. Thankfully that got fixed, and the train departed Eastleigh 75 minutes late. It had halved that deficit by the time it got here, and although the late running has resulted in the sun no longer being on the bridge in the background, at least it is still on the front of Thunderer.
