Running nearly two hours early, 50008 Thunderer passes Aldington on 2 September 2019 with the 6X50 14:50 Long Marston to Doncaster Wood Yard, conveying Railvac unit 99 709 515 005-5 and Ballast Feeder 99 709 552 020-8. I was prepared for the early running, as no way would it have needed the booked two and a half hours at Long Marston after the arrival of the light engine, just to couple up to a couple of track machines! Consequently I was not surprised when it left at 13:00 rather than 14:50!
