Looking fantastic in its 1990s 'Laira Blue' livery, 50008 Thunderer passes Castor on 11 April 2015 with the 1M52 15:30 Peterborough to Wansford service, during the Nene Valley Railway's Diesel Gala. Although of course there were numerous photographers all along the lineside, I was surprised to be the only person in this position, which seems odd, as the inclusion of the signal obviously adds to the picture. With plenty of cloud now building up, I was relived to get this picture in the sun, as for me it is the shot of the day, despite the foreign coaches!
