Monsoon conditions at Church Fenton on 27 July 2019, as 50008 Thunderer rounds the curve from the Leeds line with the Branch Line Society 1Z08 07:57 Derby to Carlisle 'The Return of Thunder Vac' railtour. This was Thunderer's first mainline railtour since 1991, and naturally attracted numerous photographers, despite the atrocious weather. It's nice to see a railtour powered by just a single Class 50, rather than the usual pair, and for once without a headboard.
